Kassiopeya Beach

This beach is a great spot for relaxation. While many people prefer the convenience of hotels and other amenities, they fail to realize that it would make the beach just like any other place, losing its unique charm. It's a shame that the authorities don't make even minimal efforts to improve the conditions, instead allocating land for projects that diminish Meganom Beach. It's a sad situation. However, for now, this place remains incredibly beautiful, free, and outstanding. The water is stunning, and there are plenty of activities to suit everyone's preferences.

The beach is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking natural scenery. There is ample parking available in a spacious lot. You can access the beach by descending a staircase, and if you happen to have a four-wheel drive vehicle, you can even drive down to the water's edge. The beach itself is covered in small pebbles, and the sea is remarkably clean and clear, with a sandy bottom. You might even spot some crabs scurrying around. While there is a restaurant conveniently located on the beach, we opted not to dine there.

It's enjoyable to take a stroll along the beach before the sun sets. Despite three days of no sunshine and rain in August, the water remains warm. You can relax on the terraces of cozy eateries that offer a view of the sea. Mosquitoes are not a big issue during the evening. The beach is clean and free of any litter. Parking is convenient. However, there may be limited space on the beach during the day. The coastline consists of sandy areas that gradually transition into small pebbles.

The beach offers convenient car camping options, ample space, and multiple beach areas catering to various preferences. It is possible to camp with a tent or rent a motorhome. On-site facilities include a dining room, cheburek, cafes, and a nearby shop. The nearest liquor stores are located in Solnechnaya Dolina (a 5-minute drive) and Sudak. Although the direct road was blocked, a well-established detour is available and does not require much additional time. Minibuses and taxis operate at regular intervals and are reasonably priced.

Meganom is an amazing and enigmatic destination. It took us around fifteen minutes by bus from Sudak to get there. One can explore the mountains and enjoy pleasant walks. The beaches are great, including a dedicated one for children, and they are much less crowded compared to Sudak. There are also cafes available for dining, although the prices are slightly higher than in the city. We had a truly enjoyable experience.
