An incredible place to visit that must be planned for in advance, especially in the summer. To make the most of your experience, be sure to check the tide tables and plan your visit for one hour before low tide to one hour after. Weekdays are best to avoid the crowds and you should bring shorts. The water is cold, so it's not ideal for swimming, but you can take a brisk walk to explore the caves and arches. also known for its white, fine sand, making it a breathtaking experience!

This location is definitely worth a stop. Make sure to check the tides before you go, otherwise you won't be able to see the natural cathedrals. Access is easy and convenient, and during peak season (April to September) it is advised to book in advance as the number of visitors is limited.

That place is an absolute must-visit! It's a national monument and the views are amazing. However, it is important to note that reservations are necessary during July and August, and possibly other times as well. Additionally, its accessibility is easy, so don't forget to plan your visit two hours before low tide to make sure you can see it all!

Our last stop by the Cantabrian coast was at the beach of The Cathedrals. We had to check online if we needed to book a visit and the schedule of the tide, but access to the beach is free. Parking lot, bathrooms and a restaurant are available in the area. Unfortunately, we arrived very late, already at high tide, and we could not walk by the white fine sand to enjoy the natural monument with the supernatural dimensions and unusual perspectives of arches within other arches. Nevertheless, we did enjoy our walk through all the paths around the area and admire the panoramic views. We will make sure to arrive at low tide next time so we can enjoy such beautiful views & sceneries!

Praia das Catedrais, otherwise known as Beach of the Cathedrals, is an awe-inspiring sight located on the Cantabric coast in the province of Lugo (Galicia). Just ten kilometres west of the town of Ribadeo, this stunning destination is one of the most popular tourist spots in Spain. Its cliffs and caves, up to 30 meters high, are shaped by the powerful action of the waves, wind, and weather, creating an impressive landscape that resembles the architectural elements of a cathedral. During high tide, the beach appears small, with the water filling the crevices and caves and emitting babbling and whistling sounds. During low tide, its cliffs and sea caves become more visible, ranging from small cracks to big caves with collapsed roofs. Low tides also create access to nearby beaches. Praia das Catedrais has been declared a Natural Monument and is truly a sight to behold.
