Praia das Catedrais, otherwise known as Beach of the Cathedrals, is an awe-inspiring sight located on the Cantabric coast in the province of Lugo (Galicia). Just ten kilometres west of the town of Ribadeo, this stunning destination is one of the most popular tourist spots in Spain. Its cliffs and caves, up to 30 meters high, are shaped by the powerful action of the waves, wind, and weather, creating an impressive landscape that resembles the architectural elements of a cathedral. During high tide, the beach appears small, with the water filling the crevices and caves and emitting babbling and whistling sounds. During low tide, its cliffs and sea caves become more visible, ranging from small cracks to big caves with collapsed roofs. Low tides also create access to nearby beaches. Praia das Catedrais has been declared a Natural Monument and is truly a sight to behold.
