An excellent option for a day out. Even at high tide, it is wide enough to accommodate a large number of people. At low tide, you can easily walk to the beach on the right without getting your feet wet. The sand and water are both clean, although there is sometimes some algae. There is a lifeguard on duty, and although access for people with reduced mobility can be a bit chaotic, it is still easy to access. On sunny days, the views from here are simply spectacular.

This stunning sandy beach is located next to the abandoned Perlora Vacation City, just a stone's throw away from Candás, the capital of the Asturian council of Carreño. It is a great spot to spend a pleasant day at the beach, with its golden fine sand and moderate waves, as well as its stunning coves, caves and abundant vegetation. To the west of the beach, Entrellusa Island can be seen, which was the site of an ancient whaling port since 1232. There is also a coastal, pedestrian path, taking advantage of the route of an old railway, to the nearby town of Xivares, making it an ideal complement to a day of beach fun. With good equipment and rescue services in high season, this is a great spot for all types of people.

This spot is a beautiful place, but it is sadly in need of some maintenance. There is a lot of garbage near the beach and on the promenade that goes all the way around the coast. Fortunately, the beach is easily accessible and there are a snack bar, showers, and toilets available.

This beach near Dormon is easily accessible by train (FEVE) from Gijón and has a variety of beaches to choose from. Some beaches have stones, while others have golden, fine sand. There are also several campings nearby, making it a great destination for a beach vacation.
