That place is not ideal for either those with or without a pet. If you have a pup, you'll have to keep them on a leash, as there are no designated areas for them to run free. And if you don't have a canine companion, you'll be stuck watching everyone else's dog have all the fun.

A five star experience - clean, nice and shallow, great for playing and swimming, with golden fine sand and a great beach walk. There are a few good coffee places nearby, but the parking facilities are unfortunately not up to date and quite small. Dogs are not allowed at any time, which is a shame, as it would be fair to allow dogs early in the mornings when there is no one around. Dogs are allowed between October and April.

I heard that St. Lorenzo Beach in Gijon is the busiest beach in Asturias and I am guessing it's especially popular in the summertime. really long and beautiful, with golden fine sand and high waves. You can see many people playing sports in the sand, particularly surfing, from early morning every day thanks to the numerous surf schools located along the boulevard. It is truly amazing and extremely relaxing!
