Situated in the Vila Nova district, otherwise known as Anjo da Guarda, this beach has become a popular tourist destination on the island. The right side of the beach is composed of mangroves and rivers, while the left side is made up of white sand, a vast array of rocks, dunes, reddish cliffs, and natural pools at low tide. Unfortunately, there are few places to seek shade from the sun, and the local population is not particularly mindful of keeping the beach clean and free from pollution.

This beach is perfect for those seeking a tranquil and uncrowded spot. There are no bars, so you'll need to bring your own food and drinks if you plan to stay for the day. When the tide is high, you'll need to take a boat across a small channel for just two dollars. Visiting this lovely beach is definitely worth it.
