The beach is great for a refreshing swim on a scorching day. I also appreciated the security measures in place. The price for parking a car and spending the day is 70.00 reais. Personally, I found it quite pricey considering the beach is not private and it's already low season in March. However, you do get to park near the edge of Lagoa dos Patos, so that's a plus. The grounds are decorated with a few palm trees, wooden benches, and even a swing. I wasn't entirely sure about the sanitation facilities, but there was no unpleasant sewage odor and the water was crystal clear.

Varzinha, Paraíso da Lagoa, offers the most convenient access for swimming in the lagoon. However, the barbecue place is located quite far away, and I believe the logistics could be improved, especially considering that I often bring my kayak along. Despite this, everything else about the beach is excellent. I have stayed in the cabins and had a very enjoyable experience.

Praia da Varzinha is a beach situated on the north coast of Lagoa dos Patos in Viamão, about 65 kilometers away from Porto Alegre. The area boasts stunning natural scenery, featuring expansive plains, rolling hills, and vast green fields of exceptional beauty. Moreover, this region is renowned for its picturesque rural properties, and along the way, you can find distilleries, restaurants, and establishments selling traditional local products. The beach itself is incredibly charming, impeccably maintained, and offers excellent camping facilities. Not to mention, the sunset here is absolutely breathtaking.
