Although the location is pleasant, during the summer months, the gendarmerie prohibits entry. While I didn't take a dip in the ocean, I enjoyed having breakfast at the beach.

4 Frustrating

The area around the beach is surrounded by trees and the cove itself is very peaceful, almost like a lake. Unfortunately, the beach itself is not great. The water is very shallow and murky, making it difficult to see the bottom. There is also a lot of black algae present. However, the temperature of the water is the highest in the region, making it perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Despite the poor beach conditions, I would still give it a star for the warm water.

In the absence of wind, the ocean appears as smooth as glass, making for a stunning sight. However, on windy days, the water becomes quite hazy. The sea is not immediately deep, with a shallow shoreline, but care must be taken when walking barefoot as the bottom is rocky. It is advisable to avoid entering the water from areas other than the beach due to the abundance of algae. Fortunately, a portion of the beach remains clean. What is truly remarkable is that the beaches in Ayvalık are typically cool, unlike the warm Mediterranean climate one might expect.

10 Exceptional

While en route to the devil's table, we stumbled upon a hidden gem of a beach in Ayvalık nature park. The name eludes me, but the scenery was unforgettable. The forest and sea melded together seamlessly, creating a picturesque landscape. The water was stunningly clear, though we did spot some algae a bit further out. Despite this, the beach remained pristine and tranquil, and it would be a shame to disturb its natural beauty. It seems some visitors may have imbibed in more than just a refreshing drink, but that did not detract from the overall peaceful ambiance.
