Camping on Baghosh Beach is completely free. You'll find all the privacy you could ever want. Check out my photos—spent a few days camping on the beach ⛱️ without a single disturbance. No nosy onlookers, no street vendors, not even a stray dog 👍. If you decide to skip the paid section of Baghoush Beach like I did 😁😄, make sure you're confident in your swimming skills and bring enough water and food for everyone.

We have been coming here for several years now (except during Covid), and I have to say, as an American foreigner, it is hands down the best vacation option for mid-level income families on the North Coast. Our first trip taught us everything we needed to know for all subsequent visits. We bring everything we need for the week-long stay after Eid ul Adha, including cleaning supplies (only a minimal amount is provided) and cooking utensils (again, only the bare minimum is provided). We bring all the food, snacks, drinks, water, and desserts for our family of 7 or 8 people. My daughter and her girls handle the basic meal planning, and we prepare some dishes before we go. One evening, we go to Marsa Matruah for dinner and shopping at Libya Souk. We also support the locals by getting grilled seafood from the shop in Baghoush for one night. There is also a convenience store, dry cleaners, and a mosque available. Usually, these services are only offered during the peak summer season. The beach is absolutely stunning and, in my opinion, the best in Egypt. It is nestled in a naturally formed cove, which protects it from the large waves of the Mediterranean Sea. However, it can still be a bit rough at times. Early mornings on the beach are perfect. We are actually heading there tomorrow for a week-long stay, and we have already booked two two-bedroom chalets right after Ramadan. I highly recommend booking early, as this place fills up quickly. It is an excellent, affordable, and family-friendly destination away from the city's hustle and bustle. Personally, there is no other place I would rather be than in Baghoush over the next week. 💯
