The beach spans 8 kilometers and is considered the finest and most extensive beach in Lesvos. Although there are several beach bars, there is still ample room for those who prefer to swim without the crowds. Overall, it is a serene location.

We have been visiting Thalassa for more than 5 years now. It has consistently been a popular spot with amazing cocktails crafted by Yannis. Their menu offers a delightful blend of Greek and international cuisine, ensuring that there is something delicious for everyone. The service provided by the servers, particularly Aspa, has always been exceptional. She is an absolute sweetheart and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thalassa is a wonderful family-owned establishment that exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere. We absolutely adore Thalassa.

The road to this destination is extremely poor, despite passing through an intriguing gorge. It's so bad that driving demands your full attention, making it difficult to enjoy the nice taverna on the beach and your ouzo. The road conditions are generally terrible. However, the journey is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially if you go by boat.

This serene and tranquil traditional Greek beach is a must-visit, even during the busy month of August. There is minimal tourism, but the locals exude a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Despite the calmness, numerous restaurants and bars are open for business. The beach is practically deserted, with clean sands and crystal-clear waters. Several changing huts are scattered along the shoreline, adding to the charm of the place.

When the breeze is calm, this beach becomes the ultimate spot for families in the vicinity.
