Aglefyros - all beaches

Similar to many beaches in the bay, the surface water here is warmer, and the bottom is predominantly sandy. The water remains shallow for a considerable distance from the shore. This makes it an excellent beach for kids, as the shallow water extends far out. My son, who prefers to snorkel only where he can stand, enjoyed snorkeling over long distances here.

The Peramas Geras windmill is located just outside the Papados settlement of Geras, directly facing the Surlaga tannery. Historically, it was used to grind oak for the tannery's purposes.

Upon arrival at the beach, we were charged a nominal fee of 1€ per person and 0.50€ per child, which we found to be quite reasonable. To keep ourselves active and entertained, we made use of the beach volleyball equipment. It was an invigorating way to spend an afternoon in the heart of the city, right by the beach. One of the best features of this beach was that the use of umbrellas and sunbeds was included in the entrance fee. However, we were informed that we needed to order some drinks or food to avail of this facility. We opted for an iced coffee, which was priced at a reasonable 2€. The water at the beach was crystal clear, but we noticed that the beach was rocky and not sandy. There were changing rooms and showers available for our convenience. Although the toilets were a bit cramped, we managed to use them comfortably. The door opening inside the toilet was a bit of a hassle, but it was a minor inconvenience. We were pleased to find a playground and shaded tables under the trees, which provided a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The beach was also equipped with a lifeguard tower and a bar, which was an added bonus. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at this beach and would recommend it to others.

This island is blessed with one of the most breathtaking beaches that you'll ever lay your eyes on. The crystal-clear sea is a sight to behold, with its shimmering waters gradually deepening as you venture further out. When you get hungry, the restaurant serves up some of the most delectable seafood dishes that you'll ever taste.

This beach, situated in close proximity to the bustling city of Mytinini, is just about average. While the water is clear and suitable for swimming, the beach itself is nothing to write home about. It's made up of pebbles, but not the kind that are worth collecting as souvenirs. In fact, the quality of the pebbles is quite poor. Don't expect to sink your toes into soft sand here.

The water is absolutely pristine and refreshingly cool, perfect for a dip on a hot summer day. It's advisable to arrive early to secure a sun lounger as they tend to fill up quickly. Overall, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful and enjoyable day at the beach.
