This serene beach is a true gem, boasting stunning natural beauty and tranquility. While it may be known as a nudist beach, there is no pressure to bare it all, and visitors are welcome to wear bathing suits if they prefer. Nestled in a secluded gulf, it's a bit of a trek to reach, but well worth the effort for those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you're looking to unwind with a good book or simply soak up the sun, this beach is the perfect spot to do so.
We visited a stunning and peaceful beach located on the opposite side of the island from Chora. To reach it, we rented an ATV and encountered no issues during the winding and mountainous drive, which was similar to other areas of the island. The beach offered rental umbrellas and chairs for a reasonable price of approximately 5€ per day. Although it was a bit breezy, this made it ideal for soaking up the sun without feeling too hot, and for taking refreshing dips in the wavy water. After navigating through a few feet of rocks and pebbles, we discovered a lovely patch of soft sand about 10 feet into the water. However, there was only one restaurant, Kouku, situated near the beach, which was delicious but limited in terms of dining options.
The shoreline boasts stunning vistas, but be mindful of the rental fees for the sun loungers nearby as they are quite exorbitant.
The beach appears to be easily accessible, which is a delightful aspect. As I scanned the area, it seemed that there were a couple of SeaTrac chairs available for use. I didn't get a chance to examine them closely, but they were definitely present. To my surprise, the water was crystal clear and remarkably clean, despite its proximity to the port. Additionally, the water was shallow even at a considerable distance from the shore.
