Platania - all beaches

We stayed at the campground for 11 nights in August. The campground is very well-maintained, and the other guests during our stay were polite and well-behaved. One thing I really appreciate is that the campsites are assigned, so you don't have to worry about waking up to find someone else's van right in front of you. They also have designated quiet hours from 3-5 pm and 11 pm to 7 am, which is nice. The beach across the street is lovely and there's always plenty of space, so you don't have to wake up early if you don't want to. They have enough toilets and showers, and everything is kept very clean. Another great thing is that the baker comes every morning at 8:30, which is perfect because the supermarket is a 10-15 minute walk away.

We had to park the car on the main road because the path to the beach was filled with large rocks and fallen trees, which almost caused damage to our car. My boyfriend fell multiple times since this path requires proper footwear, not just flip flops. Unfortunately, the beach lacks any sort of amenities, including shade from trees. We ended up walking for 20 minutes down and 20 minutes back up, enduring the scorching sun with temperatures reaching 35 degrees, only to find nothing at the beach.

This place is truly a paradise! It is one of the most stunning beaches I have ever visited. There is a cozy beach bar where you can enjoy complimentary sunbeds and umbrellas by simply ordering something at the bar. We easily reserved ours beforehand using the chat feature on Google Maps. The food and drinks were decent. The only downside is that the road leading to the beach is quite rough with no asphalt. Additionally, the only drawback is the absence of proper toilets, as there are only dry ones available in the parking lot.

We were disappointed with the only beach on the Sithonia and Kassandra peninsulas. Despite its natural beauty, with pristine white sand and crystal-clear blue water, it was marred by the overwhelming presence of people. The beach was littered with trash, and many individuals were living in tents. Sun beds were scattered about haphazardly, making it difficult to appreciate the stunning surroundings. Despite these shortcomings, there is a nudist beach located nearby for those who are interested.

This hidden gem of a beach is a true paradise nestled just a short stroll through the forest from the renowned Portokali beach. The water is pristine and transparent, allowing you to see the vibrant marine life below. The surrounding landscape is a lush oasis of verdant greenery and stunning rock formations, creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere. You won't regret taking the time to discover this breathtaking beach.

This serene and intimate beach boasts a charming restaurant and two delightful beach bars, making it an ideal destination for families with children.
