This is an ideal place with a perfect atmosphere, not too crowded, and with a very friendly waiter who genuinely enjoys his job. The sea here is shallow and the water is incredibly clear. It's the perfect spot for a beach getaway.
The sea is very nice, calm, and not too windy..... I have been coming here as a visitor for many years, but in recent years, I've noticed a decline in its overall condition. The beach used to be open and welcoming to families and individuals seeking relaxation, but now it is completely dominated by umbrellas and sunbeds from the tavern. There isn't even a single square meter available for people who want to bring their own umbrella and mat. It seems like everything is focused on making money rather than providing a pleasant experience for beachgoers.
This location is absolutely amazing. The sandy beach is breathtaking with the remnants of a historic ship adding to the charm. Additionally, there are two cozy cafes conveniently located nearby, perfect for a refreshing drink or snack.
We traveled all the way from Gythio, but I have to say, it wasn't really worth it. Although the beach itself is beautiful, with its fine sand and clear waters, it lacks a certain atmosphere and ambiance. The loungers and umbrellas provided are quite old-fashioned and basic, and the service is minimal. Additionally, the crowd mainly consists of locals, particularly older individuals. I'm not sure how the place looks in the evening, but there wasn't much youth or liveliness around during our visit. There was no music playing, the service was minimal, the beach itself was fantastic, and the overall vibes were more local, family-oriented, and geared towards the elderly. If you happen to be in the area, it's an alright beach to visit, especially if you're looking for loungers. However, there's a beach shack on the way here that appears to be more popular and crowded. Just to note, we didn't dine here and didn't have the chance to use the pool. I'm not even sure if it's open to beach-goers.
