This beach offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of other tourist-packed spots in Northern Crete. The serene waters are perfect for a refreshing dip or a leisurely swing, and the nearby bar is a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy a refreshing beverage. Overall, this beach is a must-visit for anyone seeking a tranquil and natural retreat.
During our trip around the northeastern part of the island, we made a stop at this beach during the off-season. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had the entire place to ourselves. The concrete stairway leading to the beach was easy to navigate, although it was somewhat obscured from the parking lot. The beach itself was clean and the water was crystal clear, with a breathtaking view that left us in awe.
Three years ago, we stumbled upon Agia and since then, we have made it a yearly tradition to visit this stunning beach. The water is always crystal clear and the overall cleanliness of the area is commendable. Additionally, there is a bar and restaurant conveniently located on site, providing a perfect setup for a day of relaxation and enjoyment.
The serene and delightful beach is an ideal spot for indulging in snorkeling. The Galini restaurant is a pleasant addition to the beach, although the prices are a tad high, the serving sizes are generously large.
This stunning beach features a sandy area on the right side, where the hotel offers rental services for beds and umbrellas. The water is crystal clear and home to various fish species. However, it's important to note that the beach and water on the far left tend to be more polluted. For me, this beach is the ideal spot to escape the crowds found on more popular beaches, making it a perfect destination for a weekend getaway. In the less crowded central part of the beach, the cliffs provide excellent shade. The hotel reception staff are all incredibly friendly, and the price of 2€ for parking and 2€ per sunbed (if available) is definitely worth it.
