Wow, what a great place to visit near Chennai with a boat! It's located between Mahabalipuram and Pondicherry. You have two options: first, you can just take the boat ride, which is very affordable and lasts about 20 minutes. However, we opted for the island visit. You travel 20 minutes to the island, where they drop you off. There's a small hut and a nice beach where you can spend about two hours. The boat will then come back to pick you up. You can bring your own food and snacks, as there are no shops on the island—only water bottles are available. Note that there are no toilet facilities on the island.

The remains of a grand seaside fort offer a serene and picturesque setting. Boating services are available, with local operators offering rides for approximately Rs.600 for two people.

This beach is perfect for tourists who appreciate cleanliness. It has been awarded blue flag status and offers a variety of fun activities and games. Located in Pondicherry, it takes about half an hour to reach from town. There are plenty of shops nearby and a convenient car parking area for a fee of 50rs. The beach also has a well-maintained changing room and security personnel to ensure the safety of visitors.

The sand and sea water are clean, making it a must-visit place. However, there are many crabs, and we also spotted jellyfish in the waves, so please be cautious. Additionally, high and low tides occur here.

This place is especially clean and peaceful. It's the perfect spot for fun activities with children and family. However, the safest time to visit is from 6 am to 6 pm.

When in Pondicherry, make sure to visit this beach. The sand doesn't stick, and the ocean bed is relatively flat, making it safer for small kids. There are plenty of eating outlets nearby, as well as a lighthouse. Additionally, a short distance away, you can enjoy a boat ride through a small mangrove forest for 400 per person.
