Coral Bay Perhentian Kecil

This beach is a great place to unwind, far from the hustle and bustle of Long Beach. You can find shade under the trees, but watch out for falling coconuts! There's also a platform where you can swim out to. The water is mostly sandy, so it's not too rocky, and you might even spot some fish while snorkeling. All in all, if you're seeking relaxation, I would definitely recommend this beach.

The view is absolutely stunning! However, the sand can get scorching hot on a sunny day.

Keranji Beach Resort

We stayed at Keranji Resort for 4 nights in late October 2023, paying 80 € per night, which we found to be quite expensive for the type of room we received. The accommodation was a tree house, which was a different experience for us as we had stayed in similar places before, but it was not what we expected from a resort. The lack of air-conditioning was not a surprise, but the two fans provided were not functioning properly. Upon arrival, we were the only guests and the resort appeared deserted from the sea. Our Hut 1, supposedly the most expensive and attractive option, was a basic tree house with old furnishings, including a double bed with a mosquito net and a small closet. The condition of the roof was concerning, as it had numerous holes that could allow bugs and other animals to enter. The attached bathroom was only partially enclosed, making it easy for larger animals to access. Despite a net around the bed for protection, we did not feel safe. We travel frequently and are used to simple accommodations, but this place did not meet even basic safety standards. The owner was not present, and the staff consisted of only five men due to the end of the season. The open kitchen also raised concerns about hygiene. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the owner, pointing out that the conditions were not accurately represented in the website photos. We decided to leave immediately, but the owner refused to refund any of our payment, citing their policy. We were disappointed by the lack of concern for our safety and the unprofessional response from the owner. We strongly advise against staying at Keranji Resort and instead recommend Tuna Bay Resort.
