Additionally, a 4x4 is necessary to access the beach due to the poor condition of the road. It's important to bring your own food and snacks and to clean up after yourself since there are no food vendors in the area.

This coastal gem may not be for those seeking a bustling party scene or posh restaurants, but if you're after a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature, look no further than Torio. This secluded beach town is still largely undeveloped, inhabited by local fishermen and farmers, as well as a growing community of expats dedicated to sustainable living. While the road to Torio is currently under construction, a sturdy 4x4 vehicle will ensure a smooth journey. It's also important to stock up on supplies beforehand, as the nearest supermarket and ATM are located in Mariato Town. But for those seeking a peaceful escape and leisurely strolls along the beach, Torio is a must-visit destination.

During our trip, we had the pleasure of exploring the turtle conservation initiative that is managed by the nearby community. This location also serves as the embarkation point for those who want to journey to Cebaco Island, which is situated directly in front of it.
