The boardwalk, including the nature preserve, has been increasingly crowded. It's becoming more difficult to ride a bike on weekends without having to stop multiple times due to people not paying attention, even in the designated bike lanes. I've been living in Rockaway for a long time, about two years before Rockaway Playland closed, and it's now as crowded as it was back then. The construction work on the cement seawall has really picked up in the past few months. Today's photo.
The beach was too windy for a full day, but my kids managed to have a good time with 45 minutes of sun, sand, and a little bit of splashing in the sea.
The beach is peaceful and not too crowded, but unfortunately, the presence of flies is quite unpleasant and bothersome. I have no intention of returning.
This is an awesome spot to catch the sunrise and say hello to some friendly dogs. I arrived at around 5am and had the whole beach to myself, which was amazing. After taking some lovely photos, I took a quick nap and woke up to the usual crowd. I had a great time swimming in the strong waves. I will definitely come back for more sunrises and I recommend that you do too. By the way, I took some great photos on my Samsung.
This particular beach boasts a pristine and stunning environment, complete with vigilant security measures and a welcoming atmosphere for the LGBTQ community. While there may be a slight disturbance to the peaceful ambiance due to some music, it is still a far cry from the noise pollution commonly found at other beaches. However, it is advised to avoid bringing children to this specific area of the beach.
This afternoon, I took a stroll along the boardwalk, which was a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors. Since it was a bit chilly outside, there were only a few people walking along the boardwalk, which alleviated any worries about Covid, at least for today. It was truly refreshing to breathe in the fresh air and take some steps. This is my go-to spot for walks, especially as the weather gets warmer. There's something truly magical about listening to the sounds of the water and observing people relishing the beautiful scenery. I've been coming here for walks since my teenage years.
