Playa Bajondillo

Horrible. The dirty sand every day is full of cigarette butts, band-aids and cans. Water with screems of people. Footbaths do not work to save water The entire beach is occupied by beach bars so there is no space for your umbrella, playing with children or animals.

Playa de Santa Ana

Playa de Santa Ana is situated at Benalmadena beach in the Malaga district. It's a great spot if you enjoy tourist attractions. However, if you have a more laid-back, hippie vibe like I do, this isn't the place for you. The area is filled with older folks strolling with their grandkids among the numerous upscale bars and restaurants. I spent five days here only because a friend invited me, but I definitely won't be returning.

Guadalmar Beach

This was the first beach I had the chance to visit in Malaga, which is known for its crowded beaches. I found this beach to be quite peaceful and relaxing, allowing me to truly enjoy my time there. There is also a lovely chiringuito that offers reasonably priced food and drinks with a nice view of the sea. I visited in early September, so I can't speak to how busy it might be in the middle of summer.

Playa de Santa Ana is situated on Benalmadena beach in the Malaga district. Although it's a great spot for those who like to take in the sights, if you're more of a laid-back and chill kind of person, it's not the place for you. The area is populated by a lot of older folks strolling with their grandkids, with lots of fancy restaurants and bars around. I visited for five days, but I won't be returning.

Playa Bonita Beach

This beach near Benalmadena was far from appealing when we first arrived with our family of 7. It was rocky and full of large stones near the shore, making it difficult to find a spot to settle in. Although the water was clean and clear, with fish swimming about, it was still a far cry from being a good beach. We had a small picnic and spent most of our time in the water, but even with a snorkel mask, it wouldn't have made much of a difference. The atmosphere was quiet and all seemed to mind their own business, but the restaurant nearby didn't seem to care.

Carihuela Beach

The beach is fantastic - it has a cozy atmosphere and the people there are incredibly friendly and helpful.
