There is a municipal swimming pool located on the shores of Lake Thonon. They have swimming pools specifically designed for children, as well as an Olympic-sized pool. Additionally, access to the lake is allowed during certain times, depending on the presence of lifeguards. The restaurant at the beach is quite pleasant, offering a menu that is both light and satisfying. However, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance due to the high number of visitors. This beach is the ideal spot to unwind after a morning of rafting on the Drance river. The entrance fee for adults is €5.
The Lausanne area boasts the biggest sandy beach around. Due to limited parking, it's advisable to consider biking as a means of transportation if possible. The water near the shore is relatively shallow. A promenade stretches along the entire length of the beach, accompanied by amenities such as a restaurant, restrooms, and a small buvette offering refreshing drinks, snacks, and paninis.
The local beach is a favorite spot for our family, where our children and grandchildren used to swim. Now, the adults enjoy activities like swimming, paddle boarding, and parasailing.
