This is a beautiful spot to have a picnic by the ocean.

The weather is typically breezy and ideal at this beach. The water is noticeably cleaner during the months of June and September. If the water becomes too murky, the municipality takes care of cleaning it up, and there is a lifeguard on duty as well.

We visited Eşkel beach from morning until late afternoon, around 4 or 5 o'clock. The beach was clean and there were no jellyfish or algae. The sea temperature was normal and we really enjoyed our time there. In the evening, there was a slight breeze which caused some seaweed to wash up on the shore, but overall it was still clean. Since we went on a weekday, the beach wasn't too crowded and it was very pleasant. We were happy with our experience. It's possible to bring your car to the beach without any charge. However, it's not allowed to enter the beach by car as there are pontoons, but we noticed that there were many vehicles inside. Apparently, only people with keys to the pontoons are allowed to enter, which we found to be a ridiculous system. I asked the person selling marine supplies at the entrance for directions, but he couldn't even tell me where the entrance was. As a tradesman there, he should have known better. Luckily, I asked some locals who directed me to the entrance near the mosque. When I arrived there, the pontoons were open. However, when I tried to leave the beach at 6:30 in the evening, the gendarmerie closed the pontoons and I was stuck. When I informed the locals about this, they mentioned that the gendarmerie often does this and doesn't allow vehicles on the beach. It was confusing because if the pontoons were open, why were other vehicles allowed in? The gendarmerie didn't handle the situation properly. I called them and explained that I was stranded and couldn't leave with my vehicle. They promised to send the relevant team, but within 2 minutes, they called back from the same number and said that entering the beach was forbidden. They offered to come and open the pontoons, but also threatened to issue a fine. It was absurd. Thankfully, a kind citizen who had the key opened the locks of the pontoon and I followed them out without paying any fine. There are also markets like A101 and Bim where you can find various food options such as pastries, pita, kumru, meatballs, bread, and flatbread. You don't need to bring any food with you. The prices for items like lahmacun, turtle dove, pancake, meatball bread, and pastry serving were clearly displayed. Before going, I had read some comments about

There are plenty of historical buildings and houses from the Byzantine and Ottoman era to explore at this beach. I recommend arriving early in the morning as there are so many incredible places to discover that could easily take up your entire day.

The beach is a peaceful and intimate spot, which is its greatest attribute. The sea is typically choppy and the wind is strong. The ocean floor is littered with rocks, which can be challenging to navigate. The presence of huts detracts from the natural beauty of the area. While it may be a suitable location for fishing enthusiasts, it is not ideal for leisurely swimming or lounging.
