The ocean waters are pleasantly warm, while the sandy shores are slightly littered with cigarette butts and napkins, though the amount is considerably less than the previous year. As far as city beaches go, this one is superb, especially for families with young children. My two-year-old was able to safely walk three meters from the shoreline, as the water reaches waist-deep and there are no hazardous rocks or holes to worry about.
The village is really cool and has some shops, so it's a good idea to bring your own food and water. However, there are quite a few jellyfish in the sea, so it's safer to swim about 50 meters away from the shore.
