view the best beach places
The beach is immaculate, and the prices for renting sun loungers and umbrellas are quite reasonable, costing 50 and 30 UAH, correspondingly. However, on weekends and public holidays, the beach can get overcrowded. The only downside is that the bars and cafes only accept cash payments, and the closest ATM is located in Koblevo.
The sea is polluted. However, the prices for drinks and food in stores are quite reasonable. In my view, there are more appealing destinations.
This is a great spot for families with children or those seeking a peaceful getaway. There are no clubs or discos, and overall, there are limited recreational activities for young people. However, the beaches are sparsely populated, with many seagulls, a long coastline, and stunning views. Most of the accommodations on the spit are from the Soviet era, but there are some new buildings and houses. There are several canteens and cafes offering full meals, with prices in August 2020 being 120 UAH for lunch and 70-80 UAH for breakfast or dinner. We rented a three-bed house with all amenities and a terrace for 1250 UAH at the Carpathian base and were very satisfied. There is a small market and a few shops, but no ATM, so you need to go to Ochakov for banking services. For entertainment, there are boat trips to Berezan Island and the Kinburn Spit. The only downside is the poor condition of the roads.
