Latest reviews on Sandbanks Poole's beaches

Studland Naturist beach
10 Rohan Desai

This beach is absolutely beautiful with soft sand and dunes in the background. It's also a naturist beach, which makes it one of my top picks in the area.

Sandbanks Beach
10 Naya Silva

This beach stands out from others in the area with its crystal clear water and pristine sand. While it's a bit of a trek from the town, it's perfect for a full day of beach activities. Amenities like a drinking water station, dog washing area, and ample restrooms make it a convenient choice. However, food and ice cream options are limited given the size of the beach. The car park operates on a cash-only or RingGo basis, which is consistent with other nearby lots. In sum, this is my top pick for a beach day in the area.

Knoll Beach Studland
10 Medixen

This pristine beach is a hidden gem, untouched by commercialization, and boasts an outstanding National Trust cafe.

Shell Bay Beach

We really enjoyed this location. The beach was beautiful and not too crowded, especially if you venture a bit further from the Chain Ferry end. We discovered a lovely spot among the sand dunes where we could comfortably lay down our blanket and enjoy some peace and protection from the wind, as there had been a recent storm. Additionally, there are a few scenic walks to explore, such as the Heather walk, which we found quite enjoyable. Conveniently, there is a car park nearby with restroom facilities and a restaurant just across the road. Although we brought our own food and didn't dine there, it did seem quite busy at times.
