This beach is not among the most attractive ones in the vicinity. We attempted to bring our RV, but I would advise against it. There are only around 20 parking spaces, and none of them are designated for RVs. There was just one small portable restroom available. The beach was covered in feathers and we came across four dead birds. While there are lovely sand dunes, they are off-limits for playing due to protected species. All in all, it's a decent beach.
We stumbled upon a lovely beach that welcomes dogs, which was a pleasant surprise! Originally, we were heading to Carmel, but due to the heavy traffic, we decided to take a different route, and we're glad we did! It was scorching hot everywhere else in the South Bay Area, so everyone was flocking to the refreshing beaches. We arrived at this particular beach around 10:30am on a Saturday and found it easy to park for free on the street. As we strolled along the charming boardwalk, we came across a spacious beach area with coarse sand. We had a great time there. We set up some chairs, the kids snacked, we played in the waves, dug holes, and explored the surroundings. Both the dog and the kids were delighted, which made us happy too!
