Peters Point beach

I'm excited to return to the Atlantic Beach front soon. The sand is perfectly clean and the boardwalks through the sand dunes by the picnic pavilion and parking lot are really neat, although they could use some maintenance. I noticed a couple of horse trailers in the house trailer only section of the parking lot and although there were no signs indicating so, I assume it's possible to pay for a ride.

This beach is an ideal spot for capturing stunning photographs. However, the path leading to the beach is a tad lengthy due to erosion. Nonetheless, there are several lookout points along the way that make the journey worthwhile. The parking area has convenient amenities such as picnic tables and a port a potty. Swimming is not recommended here as there are driftwood trees in the water. Despite this, the beach exudes a calming atmosphere and boasts of a distinctive charm.

Black rock beach

We visited the beach on a Thursday in May around noon, and surprisingly, there were only a few people present! Although the waves resembled those of a lake, the sand was wonderfully soft, and the presence of rocks and trees added a distinctive touch to the overall experience. To reach the actual beach, you'll need to walk for about 5-10 minutes on a well-trodden sandy trail surrounded by lush vegetation, starting from the parking lot. Interestingly, you don't have to enter the park to access the beach. To pay the entrance fees, you can conveniently use an app or an envelope. Additionally, the beach is adorned with an abundance of shells and black rocks.

This beach is an excellent choice!
