The facility itself was quite pleasant. Our condo was promoted as kid-friendly, and the room indeed was, but most of the other guests were not accommodating to children. The photos made it seem like the ocean was close by, but in reality, it was about a football field and a half away from the water. This wasn't a major issue, but it was a long walk for small children. Overall, it wasn't a bad place, but I wouldn't choose to stay here again.
There are so many shells! I visited this beach in 2022 and discovered a fantastic bar serving delicious fish. I highly recommend this place for a vacation as it offers the opportunity to see dolphins, which is incredibly cool. Moreover, it was at this beach where I learned how to swim for the first time. It is a truly amazing place with an abundance of sand, shells, water, and more. What's even better is that the water has a pleasant temperature, being mildly warm.
We came to this beach with the intention of collecting shells, but unfortunately, there weren't a lot to be found. The beach itself is pleasant, although the shell count is quite low. I'm not sure if this is always the case, but we had more success at Bowman's and Lighthouse Point. On the bright side, the parking payment covers all the beaches on Sanibel and Captiva, and the phone app functions smoothly.
We really miss the Gardens. Hurricane Ian devastated this property, along with many others! We are grateful for the amazing times and memories we had there.
This beach is an absolute delight, and I find myself enamored with every aspect of it. The lack of crowds is a breath of fresh air, and the water is simply divine. It's a relief to know that parking is both affordable and plentiful, making the whole experience stress-free. I adore the fact that the cabanas are complimentary, and the dressing rooms and bathrooms are kept in immaculate condition. All in all, this beach is a true gem.
This stunning beach boasts a vibrant atmosphere, bustling with people, stores, and a lively boardwalk as soon as you cross the bridge. Multiple parking locations are available for a fee of $30, but be sure to do some research beforehand as some spots may only offer portable bathrooms. However, I opted to continue driving and stumbled upon the picturesque Newton Park. Though parking here costs $5.00 per hour, the park provides clean and well-maintained restrooms, as well as a refreshing water fountain. It's crucial to pay on time to avoid a $35 ticket, but the park also offers ample seating areas for families to enjoy. The ocean's calm and crystal-clear waters make it an ideal spot for children, and collecting shells is a popular activity here. While there are no umbrella rentals available, feel free to bring your own. With something for everyone, I wholeheartedly recommend this beach to all families.
