Latest reviews on Georgia's beaches

Driftwood beach
10 Nora Mitchell

The view is absolutely breathtaking. This beach is truly unique and unlike any other! It's not ideal for spending the entire day as the 6-foot tide will wash away the small amount of sand available during low tide. However, it's definitely worth taking a short walk to reach this beach as it offers a stunning photo opportunity, especially during sunset. Even during the middle of the day, the beach is still incredibly beautiful. Certain areas have rocks, while others are suitable for a quick swim. Although the water is not crystal clear, it is pleasantly warm. I also noticed some dogs on leashes enjoying their time there.

Shark Tooth Beach

This beach is a beautiful hidden gem. I visited a few hours before sunset and had the entire beach to myself. It was so peaceful! If you enjoy collecting shark teeth, this is definitely a beach worth exploring.

Mid beach

The sandy shoreline is truly stunning and not overly packed with people, unlike some of its neighboring beaches. While the water may not possess the crystal-clear quality of the Gulf Coast, it's still a delightful place to take a dip. The only downside was the lack of maintenance, as I noticed some litter scattered about the beach. Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic, especially if you're keen on scouring the sand for seashells. You can find public parking spots along the streets adjacent to the beach, some of which are located quite close to the entrance. Just be aware that the current rate is $3.50 per hour if you use the app, and parking meters are available for those who don't.

St. Simons island
10 Larissa Valtair.

This delightful spot boasts ample parking and convenient restroom facilities, making it a prime location for a day spent soaking up the sun and surf.

Jekyll Island beach

This beach is truly one of the most stunning in America! It is kept clean and well maintained, and thankfully, it never gets too crowded. Although there is an admission fee, it is quite reasonable considering the excellent upkeep of the beach.

Sapelo Island
10 Eliot Dawson

The beaches are secluded and peaceful, perfect for those seeking solitude and relaxation.
