Latest reviews on Mount Sinai's beaches

Port Jefferson East
6 Maya Anders

This place is absolutely incredible. If you're someone who loves going to the beach, this spot deserves a perfect 5-star rating. However, as a Professional Photographer, I would consider it a 5-star location if they had longer operating hours. It's ideal for capturing breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, but unfortunately, they open too late and rush you out immediately after sunset. On the bright side, the police officers here are extremely friendly and do a great job maintaining order. They are also very helpful and knowledgeable.

West Meadow Beach
10 Kristof Trout

This charming town park boasts a delightful pebbly beach that is perfect for a day of fun in the sun. With ample parking, clean restrooms, a picnic area, a playground for the little ones, and a vigilant lifeguard during the season, this beach has everything you need for a memorable day by the sea. It's worth noting that a paid parking pass is required, but the amenities and stunning views make it well worth the investment.

Sand Street Beach
6 Ezra Mwamba.

The beach is decent, although it's not exactly a sandy one. It's covered in a lot of pebbles, which can make walking without shoes a bit difficult. Nevertheless, it's still a pleasant spot to visit.

Cedar Beach
10 Aria Santoro

This beach is a stunning blend of smooth sand and rocky terrain, characteristic of the North Shore of Long Island. It boasts an array of amenities, including scenic trails, a playground, a seasonal snack bar, an environmental center, and restrooms. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of the boat launch. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, a Brookhaven Town permit is required to access the beach. Any time of the year, this is an idyllic location to witness the beauty of the sunset.

North Shore Beach
4 Jaxon Stone

The sandy shores of this beach are exclusively reserved for members, ensuring a serene and secluded atmosphere. If you happen to stumble upon this hidden gem, you may go unnoticed. However, parking can be a challenge as it is restricted to residents only, forcing visitors to navigate the treacherous and steep Broadway road on foot.

Otto Schubert Beach
10 Kadir Aksoy.

This beach, situated in the heart of the county, is a true gem of nature. Its pristine shoreline and crystal-clear waters offer visitors a breathtaking experience. With its picturesque scenery and tranquil atmosphere, this beach is the perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat. The local community takes great pride in maintaining the beach's natural beauty, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you're looking to soak up the sun or take a refreshing dip in the ocean, this beach has something for everyone.
