Efate beach

This place is absolutely stunning, and the attention to detail is remarkable. I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday lunch here, and the food surpassed all expectations. The homemade ice cream and creme brulee were truly exceptional. If you ever find yourself in Vanuatu, I highly recommend coming here for lunch. It's an unforgettable experience. The food was top-notch, deserving of a five-star rating, and the selection of beautiful wines only added to the enjoyment. Every penny we spent was well worth it.

We spent 6 nights at Eratap Beach Resort for our honeymoon, staying in Villa 11 (the honeymoon villa). Robert picked us up from the airport with cold bottles of water, and he was super friendly, chatting with us about Vanuatu during the 30-minute drive to the resort. Upon arrival, Pascal greeted us, checked us in, and spent 10 minutes discussing the resort, activities, and answering our questions. We were welcomed with a delicious drink. Robert kindly took our bags to our room. Our honeymoon villa was amazing! The bed was very comfortable, the shower and bathroom were spacious, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly. The living area was large with comfortable sofas. The restaurant served amazing food, and all the staff were kind and welcoming, with Mel being especially great! We used the spa, where Anna and Elody provided a friendly and relaxing experience. The resort offers many activities at no charge. We went on the village tour, daily trips to Port Vila, a yoga session, and experienced the fire dancing night, which was AMAZING. We also enjoyed resort activities like drift snorkeling around the big island, which was INCREDIBLE, and we swam with two dugongs! Pascal was an incredible staff member, organizing all our external activities (blue lagoon, waterfalls, fishing charter) and was so kind and accommodating. I couldn't recommend this resort enough; it was a fantastic place and a wonderful honeymoon experience.

Eton Beach

We were fortunate enough to have the beach all to ourselves, and the water was a delightful blend of refreshing freshwater from upstream and comforting seawater. The clarity of the water was truly astonishing, however, there wasn't an abundance of marine creatures to admire. As we strolled towards the northern end of the cove, we discovered a lengthy pathway that ran parallel to the ocean, providing us with a picturesque view.

We took the bus from Waves at surfside, which only took about 10 minutes. The fee is now 500vatu per adult and 100vatu for kids. The beach is really nice, so make sure to bring snorkel gear. It is covered in coral, so it's recommended to wear sand shoes. Unfortunately, we didn't have any, but our kids still had fun, although the soft sand was limited. The cost of taking the bus and entry for 2 adults with 2 kids was 1200vatu for the return bus trip and 1100vatu for entry. In total, it came out to around $28aud for a day at the beach, which is a bit pricey, but that's Vanuatu for you. You have to pay for everything! There is a volleyball net there, so bring your own volleyball. Also, don't forget to bring your own food and drinks.

We spent a lot of time diving at the beach, using the two ropes on either side to swing like Tarzan and dive into the warm water. It was quite crowded during our visit, and we had to bring our own towels as they weren't provided. On the opposite side of the ropes, you can jump from a higher point. Overall, we had a fantastic time and managed to capture some great personal photos.
