🏝️ We enjoyed snorkeling, swimming, paddle boarding, and even had the chance to watch a group of blacktip reef sharks sleeping underneath the spa. 🏝️ Our days were filled with indulging in delicious Maldivian, Indian, and Sri Lankan cuisine, including a delightful Peruvian style ceviche prepared by Chef Gaston. 🏝️ We also had the opportunity to exchange football jerseys, with us giving our @dcunited jersey to the @wind.warriors. 🏝️ During our massages at Elena Spa, we were able to relax and watch fish swim by, thanks to the amazing staff. 🏝️ The surprise decorations in our villa to celebrate our wedding anniversary were a lovely touch. 🏝️ We experienced traditional Maldivian fishing at sunset, which was a unique and enjoyable activity. 🏝️ The mattresses in our villa on the water were incredibly comfortable, allowing us to sleep very well.

Varu Island is absolutely stunning! It was our first experience of a luxurious vacation, and we had an amazing time. The staff were fantastic, especially Chamila who warmly welcomed us. We had incredible underwater adventures with Risey, where we got to see sharks, octopuses, turtles, and tropical fish. I was a bit late in planning my partner's birthday, but everything was arranged exactly as requested in the end. A big thank you to the chef who made a delicious blueberry tart upon our request! We are grateful to Mohammed, Faloula, and the rest of the team. I highly recommend Varu Island, especially with their all-inclusive plan that makes everything so much easier!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, rating it a solid 4/5. It could have been a 4.5/5 if not for the disappointing bar experience. Our rooms were outstanding. We stayed in the over-water villa, which was perfectly situated. Bilal, our housekeeper, was exceptional, servicing the room twice daily and always doing a fantastic job. The spa treatment was incredibly relaxing. Yulia, my masseuse, was highly skilled and professional. Dining: Nu: Overall, it was good. We rate the food 3.5/5 due to a lack of flavors, finding it a bit bland. However, the service was impeccable, earning a 5/5. Chili and Lime: Overall, it was good. We rate the food 4/5. We experienced both the Asian night and the global night, with an excellent selection of food options to please every palate. Service was rated 4/5 due to occasional language difficulties. The live entertainment on Friday night was a nice touch. Bay Rouge: We rate it 2.5/5. The drinks were very weak, even when requesting a double shot. Service was slow or nonexistent, often requiring us to go to the bar ourselves. Adding lively music throughout the day or a live band at night could improve the atmosphere. It lacked the beach ambiance it has the potential for. Charcoal: We rate it 4/5. The appetizer was just alright, with a bland salad. However, the main course of ribs was very good, and the dessert was delicious—the best crème brûlée I’ve had, with the chef nailing the caramel top. Service was excellent, with our server being knowledgeable about the food and offering another appetizer to make up for the bland salad. Other activities we did: Sunset cruise: It was nice, although the sunset itself was not great. The staff onboard went out of their way to make up for the lack of a good sunset, and they were amazing. Snorkeling: This was a fun experience. We saw sharks, turtles, and more. It was amazing swimming near the reefs. Stargazing: This was boring and uncomfortable. Sitting on the rock-hard boat top was not pleasant. Beanbags, like those used during the sunset cruise, would have been nice. The captain didn’t even pick a good spot to stop. Getting around the resort: It would be nice if they had shuttles transporting guests throughout the day

We really enjoyed our stay here. Overall, we would give it a solid 4/5. It could have been a 4.5/5 if it weren't for the disappointing bar. Our overwater villa was excellent and perfectly located. Our housekeeper, Bilal, did a fantastic job servicing the room twice a day. The spa treatment was very relaxing, and my masseuse, Yulia, was excellent at her job. In terms of dining, Nu was good overall, with a 3.5/5 for the food and a 5/5 for service. Chili and Lime also had good food, with a 4/5 rating, and the service was a 4/5 as well. Bay Rouge, however, had weak drinks and slow service, and the lack of a night vibe was disappointing. Charcoal received a 4/5 rating, with the appetizer being just alright, but the main and dessert were delicious. The service was excellent, and our server was knowledgeable about the food. The sunset cruise was nice, but the sunset itself was not great. The staff onboard, however, went out of their way to make up for it. Snorkeling was a fun experience, and we got to see some amazing marine life. Stargazing, on the other hand, was boring and uncomfortable, and the location chosen by the captain was not ideal. Getting around the resort was a bit challenging, as there were no shuttles and the signage was not great. The lack of shade made the walks excruciatingly hot, and having the option to use bikes would have been nice.

Words cannot express how much we absolutely adored our stay at Varu by Atmosphere. The food was incredible, the views were breathtaking, and every aspect of the resort exceeded our expectations. The staff played a huge role in making our stay so incredible. They made us feel like friends and went above and beyond to cater to our every need. It wouldn't be fair to not mention them, as they truly deserve recognition. At Bay Rouge, we had the pleasure of enjoying the best cocktails we've ever tasted. Hemant and Chamila, the talented and creative bartenders, served us with the utmost friendliness and professionalism. Nalin, Nazur, Rishikesh, Yumnam, and Magharita were the hardworking individuals who always knew exactly what we wanted and made sure our glasses were never empty and our snack bowls were always full. Every evening spent with them was filled with laughter and fun. Now, let's talk about the food. Chilli and Lemon was absolutely faultless. The serving staff, especially Subh, Mohammed, Hidayat, and Zain, were exceptional. Fernando and Aisar, the pizza chef, always took the time to chat with us and ensured that the food was always outstanding. Our favorite restaurant, Charcoal, was managed so well by Nazur, and we have to give a special shoutout to Nisha, who convinced us to dine there again. Chef Vikas deserves a big shoutout as well for preparing the most incredible chicken kebabs and chicken main dishes. The spices and cooking quality were unlike anything we've ever experienced. Adam, the lifeguard, was another staff member who made our stay unforgettable. He always took the time to show us the sharks and sea life, which was something I really wanted to see. He gave us the perfect timing to come back, and sure enough, I got to witness the beauty of the sharks and sea life. Lastly, our room and housekeeper, Mamun, was absolutely amazing. He would visit us twice a day to ensure our comfort and always took the time to understand our preferences. The towel designs he left for us were truly magical. On our final day, my husband fell ill, and if it wasn't for Nisha and Nazur, he wouldn't have recovered as quickly as he did. Nazur prepared an incredible ginger shot, and Nisha made sure my husband was comfortable and well taken care of at all times. She even managed to
