Do not be deceived by the picturesque sight of the azure lagoon! It is exclusively accessible to the proprietors of the adjacent properties. It is quite ridiculous! While you are free to visit the beach, I would not advise swimming in the water due to the abundance of debris. Be cautious when carrying your room key card near your phone as it may result in deactivation, and you would have to make a trip to the front desk to acquire a new one. I have personally experienced this inconvenience multiple times and had to wait in the lobby for a while before a staff member could assist me.

I've visited this resort on a few occasions, but I must say that it appears rather unappealing and run-down. I do acknowledge that the pandemic may have played a role in this, but my recent visit left me feeling as though we were sending the wrong message to visitors from other nations. While the food was exceptional and the pool and rooms were satisfactory, the bathrooms were unclean and the hallways were poorly lit at night. Additionally, the structures were in poor condition. I hope that the resort can recover from this situation, as Playa Blanca was once a delightful place to stay.

During our three-night stay, we were initially assigned a room on the third floor without an elevator, which was difficult for me due to my bad knee. The second room was in such a state of disarray that the floor appeared to have gone uncleaned for several days, and the bathroom was nothing to write home about. The third room was no better than the second, with unsatisfactory cleanliness standards. Finally, we were asked to wait for the fourth room while it was being mopped and cleaned, resulting in an hour and a half of check-in time. To top it all off, we were overcharged and the hotel refused to refund any of our payment. For the same amount, I strongly suggest the nearby hotel with a similar name, but with RIU in front, which is a true five-star destination. I have shared a few of the 40 or so pictures I took to demonstrate the condition of this terrible place. It is a kindness to give it even one star. It is worth noting that most of the pictures on their website are from when the resort first opened 20 years ago.

The sprawling plaza boasts an impressive array of six hotel buildings, each with its own unique charm. The resort's two sparkling pools and thrilling water slide offer endless hours of aquatic fun, but the real gem of this destination is undoubtedly the beach. With its soft sand and crystal-clear waters, it's the perfect place to soak up the sun and unwind. And let's not forget about the food - it's truly exceptional and sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. While the rooms are comfortable enough, the lack of outlets can be a bit frustrating when trying to charge electronic devices. Despite this minor inconvenience, the resort is a lovely place to stay, though it may disappoint those who crave adventure and exploration.

The beach was a sight to behold, with its stunning views and serene atmosphere. The restaurant situated on the beach was simply amazing, serving up delectable dishes that tantalized the taste buds. The buildings in the vicinity were truly breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of the place. The beach was impeccably clean, making it a pleasure to walk on the sand and dip your toes in the water. The pool was simply massive, the biggest I have ever laid eyes on, and it was a treat to take a dip in it. The shops nearby were lovely, offering a variety of items that were perfect for souvenirs or gifts.
