Starfish Beach, situated in Panama, is an ideal destination for families with little ones to enjoy the Caribbean Sea. The crystal-clear water is shallow, making it perfect for a refreshing swim. However, it's important to be cautious of the stumps that are scattered around the area.

The beach truly lives up to its name with serene waters and an abundance of marine life including fish, crabs, and starfish. We had a blast taking a boat ride, swimming, and observing the crystal clear water. The sandy beach was the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun.

The Playa Estrella beach is not just a spot to observe starfish, as it offers a variety of restaurants along its shore. However, the quality of the food is decent, but the restrooms are not up to par, and the wait time for food can be quite lengthy. Nevertheless, these issues are related to the restaurants and not the beach itself. If you prefer a more secluded area, you can arrange to go snorkeling for starfish elsewhere on the beach.

Although this beach boasts stunning beauty, it is unfortunately marred by a significant amount of litter behind the nearby restaurants. It would be greatly appreciated if the local municipality took action to clean up this area. Additionally, the presence of numerous boats, exhaust fumes, and loud music detracts from the overall experience. For those seeking a superior beach experience, I recommend visiting Red Frog Beach, which is both cleaner and more pleasant.

4 Frustrating

I would have rated this beach with 5 stars if it weren't for the unpleasant bars and restaurants located nearby. The beach itself was beautiful, but unfortunately, the establishments in the area do not take responsibility for maintaining a clean environment. The beach was littered with trash, and the loud music played to mask the noise of the diesel engines used for electricity was quite bothersome. The garbage is carelessly pushed into the surrounding jungle, which is unacceptable. I urge you not to support this behavior and avoid the beach until the situation improves.
