This place has a charming Old Florida vibe that we absolutely loved!
During our honeymoon, my husband and I had a fantastic time here. Our unit was impeccably clean and had everything we could possibly need. We stayed in Unit 5, which had its own private entrance to the beach. The resort also provided beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, and anything else you could think of, all free for guests to use. I brought my own beach chair, but I didn't even bother taking it out because I didn't want to get sand in the car. They also had a washer and dryer available for guests, and they only asked for a $1 fee to cover the use of their equipment and detergent. The beach was not crowded at all, offering a perfect retreat for those who prefer a more peaceful atmosphere. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
For future guests, we highly recommend two restaurants. Juicy Seafood in Savannah, which is about 20 minutes away from the hotel, and Pops Sunset Grill, which is only 10 minutes away. We tried several local restaurants, including Deep Lagoon (which we didn't enjoy) and Casey Key Fish House (we think we just ordered the wrong dishes because they have great reviews). However, the standout was Yoders Amish Restaurant, where we had the best biscuits and gravy we've ever tasted. And trust us, we both grew up in the south with biscuits and gravy as a regular breakfast staple. It's a must-visit for breakfast!
The only thing we would have appreciated are clear check-out instructions, perhaps posted on the fridge or somewhere similar. There may have been some provided, but we must have overlooked them. Nevertheless, our stay was absolutely outstanding, exceeding our expectations!
