This tranquil beach offers a unique experience where the ocean and Lake Tashmoo meet. The shoreline is mostly sandy with occasional small rocks and shells. Witness the hustle and bustle of boats entering and exiting the lake. Whether you choose to relax on the ocean or lake side, you will have an unforgettable time. The lake side is ideal for children as it is shallow. The ocean side has calm waters with minimal waves, but some seaweed may be present. Access to the beach is via a bumpy dirt road, Herring Creek Road, which is only wide enough for one car. It is recommended to use an SUV and drive slowly, making way for oncoming traffic. There is a small sand parking lot that is complimentary, and a lifeguard is on duty during peak hours. Additionally, a porta-potty is available for convenience.
