This beach has a stunning expanse of shoreline, and the best part is that it's free for the public to access. However, it can be a bit of a challenge to secure a parking spot.

Having relocated to York Beach towards the tail end of August, I can attest to the fact that I have never experienced such tranquility and serenity as I do when I take a leisurely stroll along Long Sands beach during the early hours of the day, just in time to witness the sun's ascent.

Since the tender age of four, I've been an ardent fan of this beach, and I can confidently say that it's a splendid location. The beach has a gentle slope, which means that during low tide, there's an abundance of sandy shores to explore. However, at high tide, the beach may seem a tad smaller, but that doesn't deter beachgoers from having a great time. Additionally, there are several excellent establishments along the strip that offer delicious food and last-minute beach essentials.

The beach offers a pristine and unspoiled stretch of sand, albeit slightly slim. The influx of visitors during favorable weather conditions is a common sight. Public restrooms and changing rooms are conveniently located for beachgoers. However, the parallel parking on the street comes at a price and fills up quickly on weekends. Scattered along the street are a handful of quaint food stalls that offer quick bites for those in need of a snack.
