It's lethal if not impossible to reach the beach, steep rocky cliff with loose stones to slip on. Do not attempt this, you are risking your life Please keep safe
The beach offers of crystal clear turquoise waters and a breathtaking views from the tavern perched on its edge. However, the beach is petite and it's a rare occurrence to find vacant sunbeds. It's ideal for a quick dip and sunbathing for a few hours. Visitors can also catch a glimpse of a quirky duo of geese who waddle out of the water, squawk at the beachgoers, and then depart into the sea with pride. The air is infused with a distinct aroma of sulfur, adding to the unique ambiance of the place.
We decided to take the Voutirakos Cruises boat trip from the Port of Zakynthos to reach the well-known Navagio beach. However, the distance was quite long, and we would suggest taking the boat from Porto Vromi instead. The boat trip lasted four hours and cost 30 euros. During the trip, we stopped at Navagio beach for an hour and at Blue Caves for 40 minutes, where the boat anchored offshore and allowed people to dive. Although Navagio beach was breathtakingly beautiful, it was overcrowded with boats arriving every five minutes, bringing hundreds of tourists. The place was packed with people, making it difficult to move around. Due to the overcrowding, the boat staff was constantly yelling at people and being rude to them, especially the staff of Seven Island Cruises, to make room for the next wave of tourists. It was a terrible experience.
This tranquil beach is an idyllic spot to unwind and recharge your batteries, and it's easily accessible by car. You'll also find a charming little port here, which provides an opportunity to take a boat trip to Navigo beach. If you're feeling peckish, there's a delightful cafe where you can grab a refreshing drink or a tasty snack. The crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming and diving, and the beach is composed of small stones. If you're not a fan of this type of surface, simply slip on some water shoes to keep your feet protected.
This stunning beach boasts crystal-clear blue waters, a common feature among many beaches in the Navagio area. The towering white cliffs add to the breathtaking scenery, and the only way to access this hidden gem is by boat. My companions and I rented a boat in Porto Vromi and spent an entire day exploring the area. For those seeking a peaceful escape from the crowds at Navagio, I highly recommend checking out any of the serene, remote beaches on the northwest coast of Zakynthos.
