Alentejo - all beaches

This beach is absolutely amazing. To reach it, you can take the Fertagus from Lisbon all the way to Setúbal (the last stop). From there, it's just a short 10-15 minute walk to the Atlantic Ferry stop where you can catch a boat to Troia. The journey takes around 75 to 80 minutes, but it's definitely worth it. Additionally, during low tide in the early afternoon, you can even walk across the bay to the other side, which is a unique experience.

This beach is absolutely gorgeous with crystal clear water and plenty of free parking available. The beachside cafe is fantastic and has clean, accessible restrooms and showers, including facilities for the disabled. Additionally, this beach is easily accessible without having to navigate a large number of steps.

The picturesque village of Porto Covo boasts a stunning coastline adorned with magnificent cliffs and a charming little island. The beauty of the beach is truly awe-inspiring and leaves an indelible impression on visitors. The natural scenery is simply breathtaking and provides a serene and tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. The idyllic setting is a true paradise for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. The allure of this hidden gem is irresistible, and it is definitely worth a visit.

This beach is quite captivating, featuring a blend of rocks, sand, and serene trees made of stones. Although the waves are impressive, the presence of rocks in the water can make it quite hazardous. Nonetheless, we found the beach and its surroundings to be quite enjoyable.

This beautiful beach boasts easy accessibility and ample parking, making it a prime destination for beach-goers. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of the numerous surf schools that offer lessons throughout much of the year.

This is our go-to beach for family outings, and it's not hard to see why. The water is crystal clear and the sand is fine and soft, making it the perfect spot to soak up the sun. The beach is well-equipped, with amenities like a paid car park and two fantastic restaurants, as well as a cozy coffee bar. If you need some shade, parasols are available for hire. The beach is expansive, with plenty of space for kids to play - there's even a charming little Wendy house and a small library. The staff, including the lifeguards, park attendants, and restaurant workers, are all friendly and welcoming. And if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of dolphins swimming by - we saw them once and it was truly magical.
