Matanzas - all beaches

An absolutely outstanding resort. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, with the impressive ability to communicate in multiple languages. While knowing a few phrases in Spanish can be beneficial, speaking English around the resort is not an issue. Highlights include the cleanliness, spacious rooms, beautiful beach areas, large pool, and excellent food options. We dined at the Tex Mex restaurant twice, which I consider the best on the property, with The Bistro coming in a close second for its good snack selection, tasty burgers, and delicious sandwiches. We would definitely return. Although the resort could use some updates, it remains the best in Varadero and is worth every dollar spent.

To those who have given 5-star reviews, please reconsider before doing so. Your reviews greatly impact those who rely on them. This has been the worst experience we've ever had, despite having been to Cuba multiple times before. The rooms are extremely unpleasant, old, and emit a foul odor. Every room has leaks when it rains. There is a severe lack of essential items such as towels, alcohol, food, and entertainment. There are barely any activities available. The service may be rated 2 stars, but only for a few waitresses. The food is absolutely terrible, and we are barely managing to survive here. We have never wanted to return home from a vacation before, if we can even call this a vacation! It feels like such a waste of time and money. We are incredibly disappointed, especially since we booked this resort based on other people's reviews. Please, we urge you not to make the same mistake!

This is the most incredible island and beach I have ever laid eyes on. It's an exceptionally stunning place, with a diverse range of species. It offers an excellent opportunity for bird enthusiasts to indulge in some top-notch bird watching. I cannot recommend it enough.

The beach is absolutely stunning, with calm and warm waters. It feels like being in the Maldives with all the palm trees around.

This beach was okay, I guess. It wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't anything to write home about. The sand was fine, I suppose, but nothing special. And sure, there were some shells scattered around, but they were mostly just average-sized. The beach itself was pretty roomy, I'll give it that, but that just meant there were more people around to annoy you. And don't even get me started on the beach grill and bar - it was like a zoo over there. The water was warm, I'll give it that, but that's about all it had going for it. Meh.
