While not the most exceptional beach on the island of Corfu, it still holds its own charm and provides a pleasant experience. The beach is dotted with lively beach bars and restaurants that offer a package of two sunbeds and an umbrella for a reasonable ā¬10, with some even throwing in two complimentary drinks or beers. However, parking can be a bit of a nightmare, so it's best to try and find a spot on the roadside before reaching the three-way crossing. The beach itself offers a mix of sandy and rocky areas, catering to a variety of preferences.
Having breakfast right on the beach is priceless! While it may not be the most luxurious or extravagant hotel, the staff are incredibly friendly and the location is superbājust a short walk to the main town and literally steps away from the beach. I couldn't find any faults with the hotel itself, but Benitses as a whole could use some footpaths since the main road through town is quite busy. If I return to Corfu, I would definitely stay here again.
I lived there for 4 months in the early 70ās, sleeping under the olive trees on the top of the hill above, eating at a taverna owned by Spiro and Maria who had one daughter named Fadna. Everyone ate whatever Maria cooked, Spiro kept a tab for each person and gave us a shot of ouzo when we settled our tab. There were people from everywhere but only 2 of us from the US! We took showers in fresh water that came off the hillside onto the beach. Iām grateful I had that experience before it became developed!
We stumbled upon a magnificent beach that caught our eye while passing by and decided to stay. It's an ideal spot for families with children as it stretches for a long distance. Although the beach is pebbly, the water is crystal clear and turquoise, and after a mere 2 meters, the sand becomes the finest and softest white sand. The water remains shallow for quite some time, making it safe for children to swim. Kids can also enjoy an inflatable water park available at 10 euros per person per day. The beach is lined with restaurants and shops, and parking is available on the road. We discovered an enchanting Patisserie named Sugar nearby and savored some fantastic coffee there. The beach provides showers and changing cabins, and the water is notably warmer compared to the West coast of Corfu.
Diese Bucht ist der absolute Hammer, doch darf man auch den Weg dorthin nicht unterschƤtzen, teilweise muss man sich von Seil zu Seil hangeln, sportlich muss man auf jedenfall sein bei dieser Tour.
This beach offers a delightful experience with its soft sand and shallow waters, making it an ideal spot for families with kids. Even though the hotels are located right on the beach, there are still plenty of sun beds available, especially if you visit in the evening. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking, with lush vegetation, colorful flowers, and rocky landscapes that blend seamlessly with the hotels' architecture. Overall, this beach is a picturesque and relaxing destination that is sure to please visitors of all ages.
