4 Frustrating

This beach is a secure location to take a dip in the ocean, however, the water is heavily contaminated, making it unsuitable for swimming. Although, many families were present, it is not recommended for bathing. It is safe to bring children to play in the sand. Additionally, a navy camp is situated nearby, providing ample protection. Unfortunately, there are no lifeguards on duty. Several shops offer a variety of seafood such as crabs, prawns, and fried fish, as well as soft drinks, ice cream, rotee, and wade-like foods. It is best to travel by private vehicle or taxi, as public transportation is unreliable. The highlight of this beach is undoubtedly the stunning sunset view. Thank you.

10 Exceptional

The beach offers a shallow shoreline that is ideal for a leisurely swim and safe for young children to frolic in the water. It is the perfect spot for families to unwind and enjoy a relaxing day out.

The beach offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty. However, the cleanliness of the area is not up to par.

2 Very poor

It is disheartening to see a beloved public beach being illegally taken over by a private individual for personal gain. This beach has been a cherished spot for families for generations, including our own parents and grandparents. However, it seems that the new owner plans to charge a fee for access to a beach that was once free for all. Additionally, parking now requires payment, whereas it was previously free for public use. Even the food stalls that have been a part of the beach for years must now pay rent and commission to the new owner. To make matters worse, outside food and drink are no longer allowed, and patrons must purchase exclusively from the hotel. It is difficult to comprehend how such a treasured public space can be taken over by a single person without any public notice or opportunity for others to bid on the land. The new owner has even gone so far as to block off access roads and build walls and boundaries inside the beach, while authorities seemingly turn a blind eye. It is a sad day for all who have lost their favorite beach spot to greed and corruption.

On Sunday evenings, the beach can get quite crowded, but it remains a safe place to take a dip in the sea. Many families were present, and it was reassuring to know that it was safe to swim with children. Additionally, there was a navy camp in the vicinity, so security was not an issue. However, it's important to note that there were no lifeguards on duty. Thankfully, there were a few shops where one could purchase a variety of seafood, including crabs, prawns, and fried fish. Other food options, such as soft drinks, ice cream, roti, and wade, were also available. Overall, I would highly recommend this beach as a great place to visit. Accessing it with a private vehicle or taxi is the easiest option, as public transportation is not very reliable. Remember to only leave your footprints behind and keep the beach clean. Thank you!
