Located within the Yala national park. Normally is the end/turning point of safari jeep tours. Visitors use to have meals/snacks while enjoying the beach, surrounding. There used to be a rest area built by the Wildlife Reservation dept with toilets, etc. which currently is closed/not accessible to public. Visitors are advised not to go beyond the marked boundaries due to potential attacks by leopards, bears, etc. But some seem less concerned/brave to disregard. Views must be nice at the sunset and sunrise. A location hit hard by the 2004 tsunami. Three tsunami waves (third as high as 20 feet) damaged a Wildlife Reservation Department's circuit bungalow and took lives of about two dozens including foreign tourists. A tsunami monument in memory of the lives lost has been built but isn't accessible to public currently.

If you will do yala safari, this one will finish in this beach, where the tsunami is part of the interesting to know from there. You have bathrooms. And good to take some nice photos.

This beach is clean and nice but not allowed to swim. Waves are very strong. Located in one end of Yala national park.

Stopover during the Yala leopard safari trip. You need to get some solid ground below your feet after the amount of shakes you get on the “hunt” for the leopards. Block 1 is a hassle to get in and it’s supposedly the place with the highest chance to see them, I liked block 5 as much, which was less crowded. We didn’t see the leopards on either one btw. This stop is quite nice, but not much to do here. You cannot go near the ocean because of the crocodiles and you cannot walk around much because of the wildlife (in our case and elephant near), such a problem ;) - toilets are reasonably clean for a safari toilet and you get to spot other safari goers (who are sometimes as strange and interesting as the local wildlife). Stop here if you must :)
