10 Exceptional

I really enjoy beaches that are serene and secluded, and this one fits the bill! The water is incredibly clear, and the best part is that it's completely free for the public to enter. Although it takes about a 20-minute walk to get here, it's worth it because the beach isn't overcrowded. When my group arrived, we had the entire beach to ourselves for a good two hours.

4 Frustrating

Although the place was beautiful, we made the mistake of driving in at 5am to catch the sunrise and ended up getting stuck. Fortunately, it was a sunny day, but we thought we would need a helicopter or a pair of horses to get us out. Adding to our troubles, we were driving a rental vehicle, and it was early on a Sunday. Luckily, we were eventually able to get the car out unscathed thanks to a local who brought his 1900's Russian war vehicle to pull us out. It's important to note that once you start descending on the gravel road, there's no turning back, so it's best to always assess the situation before proceeding, even if it's as early as 5am.

Last year in September 2017, my friends and I went to šilo and one day I took a stroll to this stunning beach. It's worth mentioning that this beach has free public access.
