We managed to secure tickets for the ferry to Goli in the Lopar port on short notice. It's truly remarkable, and naturally, one wonders what it must have been like there in the past. Regrettably, many things have been destroyed and stolen over time due to the deterioration of nature. The island could have potentially been transformed into a memorial site with guided tours. However, in order to accomplish this, the buildings would have needed stronger protection. Overall, it was a poignant and worthwhile trip.

This beach was once a place where political prisoners, dissenters from the Tito regime, and other prisoners in the former Yugoslavia were held. However, there is no information about its history available, and it is inappropriate to recreate that atmosphere. Nowadays, tourists visit the beach by boat to witness the remains of the ruins. It would be beneficial for Croatia to construct a small memorial on the site and demolish the remaining structures to establish a fully sustainable holiday island.
