I am absolutely captivated by this beach - it holds a special place in my heart as it's the very beach where I spent my childhood. The sheer beauty of this place is simply breathtaking - it rivals even the stunning vistas of my beloved Baracoa.

2 Very poor

It's a real shame how this beach has been utterly ruined by people. The sand is littered with syringes and plastic waste as far as the eye can see. The locals are relentless in their attempts to peddle their wares, making it impossible to relax. To top it off, families are brazenly drinking schnapps in the water while their young ones frolic nearby. I wouldn't dream of recommending this place to anyone.

This beach stole my heart with its charming atmosphere and friendly locals. As I strolled along the sandy shore, I couldn't resist trying the mouth-watering almond treats sold by the vendors at a reasonable price. The locals here are true entrepreneurs, offering refreshing coconut water as you make your way to the neighboring Playa Blanca. And if you're feeling adventurous, the legendary Honey River is just a stone's throw away. Legend has it that bathing in its waters guarantees a return to Baracoa, and I can attest that it's true. This beach is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone exploring the area.

4 Frustrating

Our experience at this beach in Baracoa was less than ideal. While the beach itself was pleasant enough, we were unfortunately met with an unexpected danger. The beach is situated near the mouth of a river, and during rainstorms, the river water flow increases, causing a drop in sea water temperature. This drop in temperature attracts jellyfish, known as Agua viva or Agua mala, which are much more dangerous than those found in Italy. Regrettably, my girlfriend and several others we met at the nearby polyclinic were stung by these jellyfish, resulting in burns on their faces and bodies, as well as severe allergic reactions. We were forced to cut our vacation short as my girlfriend had to take cortisone and antibiotics to recover. Shockingly, there were no signs or warnings of this danger, even though the locals were aware of it. It's crucial to exercise caution when visiting this beach to avoid any potential harm.
