Playa Dorada stands out as the most exquisite beach on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. This heavenly beach is fringed with luxurious resorts and the sea is invitingly warm, perfect for a dip in the crystal-clear waters. The sand is aptly named golden, and it is incredibly soft to the touch. You may come across a few patches of seaweed here and there, but they are few and far between, so you can enjoy the beach without any hindrance.

Our stay at VH Gran Ventana in Puerto Plata (Playa Dorada) was a truly remarkable experience. The beach was simply breathtaking, with a picturesque backdrop of rolling hills that added to its natural charm. The beach was well-maintained and clean, although there were some patches of seaweed depending on the time of year. We were amazed by the abundance of fish, which made snorkeling an unforgettable adventure. The sand was grainy, which only added to the beach's unique texture. The water was not too shallow, but it did get deep quickly in some areas, which was completely normal. Overall, we had an amazing time at this beach and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable beach getaway.

I barely had a chance to even glance at the beach, but I suppose it looked alright. I did manage to stuff my face at a nearby restaurant though, and I must admit, the food was surprisingly decent.

This beach is absolutely breathtaking and is exclusively available to guests staying at the resorts within the Playa Dorada gated complex. While it is technically possible for locals to access it by entering from the west side of the public beach and walking a couple of kilometers, this was not a concern for me. The sand is pristine and the water is a stunning warm blue with waves that are perfect for jumping in. Additionally, there are kiosks available for renting jetskis, parasailing, snorkeling tours, and other water activities.

During my stay at the Gran Ventana, I was mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty of the hotel and the serene ambiance of the beach. The food was impeccable and added to the overall experience of my vacation. I had a wonderful time and cherished every moment spent soaking up the sun and enjoying the pristine waters.
