My favorite beach in Athos is an absolute delight. The crystal clear waters and soft sand create the perfect ambiance for a relaxing day out. However, it's unfortunate that the absence of trash cans is a big drawback, as it can be challenging to dispose of waste properly. Despite this, the beach's natural beauty and serene atmosphere make it a must-visit spot for any beach lover.

During the period from late September to mid-October, the ocean was frequently turbulent, making it difficult to enjoy a swim. The presence of breakwaters, however, had both positive and negative effects. On the one hand, they provided a home for various types of mollusks, which in turn attracted a large number of crabs. Observing these creatures was a fascinating experience, and sunbathing or diving from the breakwaters was also possible. On the other hand, the breakwaters created bags that collected sand and debris, making the water appear dirty. Furthermore, the condition of the breakwaters themselves was quite poor. Fortunately, the rough sea conditions only persisted for a few days. Beyond the beach, there was a private sector of guest houses and hotels near the highway, which was mostly owned by unsavory individuals. However, the beach itself was not to blame for this.

The beach offers of stunning natural beauty, but the service is quite simple. However, I was disappointed by the fact that boats and ships are allowed to dock anywhere without any designated area.
