The beach offers of numerous bays, with the red sand bay being the most popular. However, there are several secluded spots where you can enjoy your privacy. If you decide to visit by boat, exercise caution when anchoring as the seabed is predominantly rocky with a few sandy patches. Additionally, the winds tend to pick up after 1500 hours and during the night. Nevertheless, it's an ideal location for indulging in activities such as stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking.

This beach is an absolute gem, with breathtakingly clear blue water that's perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Accessing the lower car park doesn't require a 4x4, so you can take your time driving down and soak in the stunning scenery. We had no trouble navigating the route with our trusty Renault Twingo. It's a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an idyllic beach experience.

This location is truly breathtaking and can be reached on foot, conveniently located near the Three Cross Beach. A short climb over some rocks and you will find yourself in paradise. I highly suggest wearing sturdy footwear for the journey.

During our 'mini cruise' boat expedition, we had the pleasure of experiencing the Red Sand Beach. As part of the tour, we also stopped at four other beaches, and had the opportunity to swim off the boat and explore some secluded beaches. I must say, it was an absolutely worthwhile experience.

Accessing the beach by car can be a bit of a challenge, especially if you're driving a smaller rental car that's common on the island. Our Toyota Aygo struggled to make it up a steep hill on the way back, and the road itself is made up of dirt and rocks once you leave Archaggelos. However, most people arrive by boat, which is a much easier option. Once you reach the top of the cliff, you'll need to rappel down a rope (about 4m) and navigate your way through more rocks and dirt. But the effort is well worth it when you finally arrive at the secluded beach. The only other people you'll encounter are those who have been dropped off by boat for a quick swim. The beautiful water, the sound of the waves, and the company of a few goats make for a peaceful and relaxing experience. Snorkeling is also a great option here, and the views are simply breathtaking.
