Episkopi beach II

This beach is a lovely sandy spot with amenities like showers, chaise lounges, and bars. It offers free parking and plenty of space. It's simply everything you could want in a beach! 😊

The beach is quite lovely, and it costs 5 euros for two sunbeds and an umbrella. There is a comfortable amount of space between the umbrellas, and the taverna called Kyma is quite good. The water is clear, although it may not be as stunning as other parts of Crete. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a nice, small sandy beach near Rethymno, this one is definitely a good choice.

In my view, this beach is definitely one of the finest in the vicinity, if not the absolute best. We made use of the umbrellas provided by Kantina Summer. Accessing the water is a breeze, although there is a small section with pebbles, they are tiny and can be easily traversed. Once you're in the water, the seabed is sandy. Naturally, the water isn't crystal clear when there are decent waves. Finding parking is convenient, either on the road or in the parking lot adjacent to Kantina.

Episcopi beach is a sandy beach that has designated areas without sunbeds or organized sun umbrellas, as well as areas where you can rent a sunbed for 8 euros per day. It's a great place to spend the entire day relaxing and strolling along the long beaches. The water in the sea is crystal clear, and there are some spots that are suitable for children as well. Additionally, they provide shower facilities after swimming. This beach also has a bar located in a green grassy area where you can enjoy drinks and food. Parking is conveniently available either next to the entrance or on the street, and it's very easy to find as it is located next to the main road E75.

The beach was absolutely lovely. My visit took place in early July, and during the day there was ample space to relax. In the evening, I had the pleasure of strolling along the long sandy beach at sunset, and remarkably, I had the entire place to myself. The beach also boasts excellent restaurants that offer delicious food. Additionally, they provide sun loungers under charming shades for a reasonable fee of €5 per day. The presence of wooden slatted walkways in the lounger area made it very convenient to move around. To ensure safety, there was a lifeguard stationed in a tower, and clear signs were displayed. Moreover, the restaurants even had play areas for children. The sand was beautifully soft, and the gentle breeze created an ideal environment for sunbathing. The views, especially at sunset, were simply breathtaking. All in all, it is undoubtedly a top-notch beach!
