If you're a fan of secluded and undeveloped beaches and don't mind pebbles, then Mesovrika beach in Antipaxos is the perfect spot for you. It's a small cove located on the northeast side of the island, nestled between the popular beaches of Voutoumi and Vrika. The beach is made up of small and large white pebbles, with rocks extending to both sides of the bay, providing a sense of privacy despite the presence of private yachts. If you have your own boat, it's best to visit the beach before 11 in the morning or late in the afternoon, as it can get crowded with cruise ships from 11:00 to 12:00. Snorkeling is a popular activity near the rocks, but make sure to check for jellyfish before entering the water. There are no facilities in the Mesovrika area, but you can find daily taverns in Vrika or Voutoumi just a five-minute walk away from the paths to the side. They offer meals and also rent out sunbeds and umbrellas.

Although the beach is undeniably beautiful, it unfortunately falls victim to its own popularity as a 100% touristic spot. Visitors come, swim, and go, with hundreds of people flocking to the water for just an hour before moving on. My experience was no different, as I had booked a boat trip from Corfu to Paxos and Antipaxos. However, I did find that the beach had its moments of tranquility in the morning and afternoon, before and after the boats arrived. That being said, I did encounter a few purple jellyfish in the water which made swimming less enjoyable. In fact, I counted 5-7 of them and ultimately decided to stop swimming and avoid returning to that particular spot.

The beach boasts of stunning turquoise waters that are quite salty. Despite its depth, one can swim effortlessly and enjoy the clear view of the stones at the bottom. Swimming in such pristine waters is truly an incredible experience and highly recommended.

The turquoise color of the sea is truly breathtaking and almost unbelievable. Despite the beauty of the place, it tends to attract a large number of tourists and big boats. It is advisable to opt for a private boat and visit in the afternoon.
